Exciting improvements are coming to Indian Head’s residential curbside recycling program as part of the next phase of SK Recycle’s move toward a full extended producer responsibility (EPR) program. What does that mean for you? Beginning August 1, curbside recycling collection by Loraas Disposal will increase from once every four weeks to every two weeks.
The new collection schedule, as well as a list of accepted materials, is linked below and will include the entire town on one day. Please review it carefully, as the list of acceptable materials has changed and is included on the back. One important change is that non-refundable glass must now be recycled through the Indian Head SARCAN Depot. To learn more about SK Recycles and their EPR program, visit skrecycles.ca.
