September 30, 2023 will be the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. Also known as Orange Shirt Day, the day is in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action number 80, and honours the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. To recognize the day, the Change Makers have set up an informational, self-guided walk along Sunbeam Creek Fitness Trail from Buxton Street to Cst. Shelby Patton Memorial Park. Enjoy a walk while learning about the history of the day and our Town.
The Town Office will be open regular hours on September 29 and October 2.
