The Town of Indian Head is very happy to be holding Indian Head Days once again this year June 24th -25th! The weekend will include many of our favourites including the parade, family activities, tours, cabaret featuring Brayden King and the Arcana Kings, and wrapping up with the Flatland Cruisers Show ’n’ Shine.
Our theme this year is “Celebrating our Volunteers with the Royal Treatment”. Indian Head has always thrived thanks to the incredible people who step up, bring new ideas, and support so many groups and organizations. Businesses, organizations, and residents are welcome to help us celebrate by entering a float, hosting an event, or decorating your home/business to go along with our theme!
Need some ideas? We have put together a list on our website to get you thinking:
- “Volunteer Heroes” – create a float that features superhero figures representing volunteers.
- “Hands of Help” – Design a float that showcases oversized hand cutouts painted in different colors to represent the diverse group of volunteers who lend a helping hand.
- “Volunteer Garden” – use floral decorations to create a garden-themed float, add signage with messages like “volunteers help our community blossom”
- “Volunteers Rock” – create a rock’n’roll themed float where you play rock music, dress in leather jackets, and use instruments.
- “Red Carpet” – use a Hollywood-themed float featuring a red carpet, or walk of fame with volunteer names in gold stars.
- Go with the “Royal” Theme – create a medieval castle, wear crowns, and our volunteers the Royal Treatment!
