The Town of Indian Head

The Town of Indian Head has proclaimed 2022 as the "Year of the Garden". Our local Communities in Bloom committee has already begun to plan for the gardening season and they are providing tips on how everyone can celebrate the Year of the Garden on their Facebook page. Here is a message from Communities in Bloom Indian Head.

"A new look and a new initiative for 2022! 2022 has been declared as the "Year of the Garden" by the Canadian Garden Council and you're invited to join in the fun and "Live the Garden Life". Whether you already enjoy gardening or recently discovered the pleasure of spending time in a garden because of the pandemic, or want to learn more about how gardens impact so much of life, there will be something for everyone to commemorate our country's garden heritage, and create important legacies for a sustainable future.

Red is the colour of the year, and we have added an extra hit of red to our mixed hanging baskets for 2022. Watch for upcoming posts with tips and hints to celebrate your garden. Get on-board and volunteer with us as plans get underway to showcase our community's rich garden culture. Let's get "Growing Great Places Together!"

For more information on how you can "live the garden life", follow Communities in Bloom - Indian Head on Facebook or visit the Canadian Garden Council website.
