The Town of Indian Head

The Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) has updated assessments in 2021 to capture the change in property value caused by growth in the province. SAMA coordinates a full revaluation of all properties in the province every four years to coincide with a new base date. This year’s revaluation used January 1, 2019 as the base date. There may be a change in individual property taxes due to SAMA’s revaluations. Revaluations are completed by SAMA for the entire province and the Town of Indian Head does not have any say in their outcome. Local 2021 Assessment notices were sent out to property owners on Thursday, April 8th. Please note the Municipality is not able to adjust your assessments. The far right column displays last year’s taxable assessment. For an accurate representation of changes compare this figure with this year’s taxable assessment.

Please contact SAMA directly for detailed information on their calculations at 1 (306) 924-8080. Follow the directions on the Assessment document you received to appeal SAMA’s valuation of your property. Go to and click on SAMAView to find comparable properties in our area. Please also visit their FAQs section. The next revaluation is set for 2025.
