The Town of Indian Head

The Government of Canada Public Health Agency is monitoring the spread of Covid-19 in other countries as well as here in Canada. Indian Head Council and Emergency Management Committee will try to ensure the latest information, facts, & advice is provided here and on the Town website, as it is received.

The Information is not provided to bring panic or as a scare tactic but to highlight the importance of having a plan for this particular potential emergency. A major Health Emergency is also a risk to our community, no different than planning for a long term major power outage regarding the basic needs of survival.

The latest direction is suggesting now is a good time to consider having food, medicines..water etc and needs if one was to be ill for a 2 week period. In some cases consideration on a plan for business continuity. Residents that are travelling or returning from a trip should be self monitoring and report any illness symptoms to Sask Health Authority by calling 811.Again, a plan will help in the long run. Hopefully we won't need it but it is a helpful exercise. Any medical questions should be directed to the Sask Health Authority. For more information, you can visit the Government of Canada website:
