Community Spirit

Our community spirit isn't restricted to one single event but is exhibited throughout the year at many events and activities. Residents of the town and those from the surrounding area eagerly anticipate these occasions participating in a number of ways, from attending to volunteering. Some of the annual events that are organized by the Town and a lot of dedicated volunteers and partners are highlighted below.

If you would like to be involved as a volunteer, partner or participant for any of the great community events planned and organized by the Town of Indian Head please contact our Community Development Office.

The annual parade day usually begins with the Indian Head Volunteer Fire Department's annual pancake breakfast. Breakfast sets the tone for a day of festivities fueled by a healthy amount of community spirit. The parade starts soon after breakfast and consists of many local and provincial participants, including musical and drum bands, horse entries, floats, and various dignitaries. Festivities continue in downtown Indian Head, where local volunteers, community groups and businesses all pitch in to create a carnival-like atmosphere with fun activities for the entire family. The day culminates with a street dance downtown Indian Head.
